tissue heart

I love February and Valentine's Day, since this is my birthday month. :) I remember always having birthdays parties when I was younger and we always had Valentine decorations so this heart brings back memories from my parties. :)
Pink and white tissue paper, cut into 1” squares
    Heart or pink ribbon
    Elmers glue
    Piece of cardboard
    Hot glue
Cut out a heart shape from the cardboard. Put white craft glue into the center of the heart, shaped like a heart. Using the eraser end of a pencil, place the eraser into the center of a white tissue paper square. Twist the tissue paper square around the eraser and dot it onto the glue. Continue this process until the entire middle of the heart is covered with white tissue paper. Repeat the process with pink tissue paper for the border of the heart. Hot glue your ribbon on the back to hang the heart.

Crystalized pipe cleaner hearts

white and red pipe cleaners
popsicle stick

Shape your pipe cleaners into a heart shape. You can make them as big or small as your like :). Tie the heart with string to a popsicle stick. Fill jar with 9 tablespoons borax and  3 cup of boiling water, make sure to mix the mixture well. Hang the heart in the jar. Let your hearts sit over night and remove. You can take the heart out after 6 hours but the longer it sits in the solution the more crystals it will get.
