Apple cinnamon wonton's

Fall is my favorite time of year!! I love seeing the leaves turn colors. In Colorado I really only see different yellows but still very pretty. I'm excited to go to the apple orchard and get more apples to make this recipe again it was so good!! We used store bought apples and think fresh apples will make this so much better :D. Hope you enjoy!!

2 serving butter cooking spray
2 medium apples, McIntosh, peeled, cored and minced
1 Tbsp packed light brown sugar
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
24 wonton wrappers
1 1/2 Tbsp powdered sugar
3 cups vanilla ice cream (optional)

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Coat a large baking sheet with cooking spray.

  • In a medium bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon; toss to coat apples.

  • Place wonton wrappers on a flat surface. Drop apple mixture  into the center of each wrapper. Moisten edges of wrapper with wet fingers, fold over one corner to make a triangle and press sides together to seal. Transfer filled wrappers to prepared baking sheet and coat surfaces with cooking spray.

  • Bake until wontons are golden brown, about 15 minutes. Place wontons on a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar and a scoop of ice cream. You could also place a mint leaf of top for alittle color.
