crystal snowflakes

Materials:
white pipe cleaners
borax
popsicle stick
string
jar
water
Twist three 5 inch pipe cleaners together to form a snowflake. Tie the flake with string to a popsicle stick. Fill jar with 9 tablespoons borax and  3 cup of boiling water, make sure to mix the mixture well. I added a few drops of blue food coloring but you can just leave it white. Hang the snowflake in the jar. Let your snow flakes sit over night and remove. You can take the snowflake out after 6 hours but the longer it sits in the solution the more crystals it will get.
