Best sugar cookies

My boyfriends Mom spends a lot of time making these amazing sugar cookies for everyone in the family. Their are a lot of recipes out there to make sugar cookies and I've tried alot of them, lol! But I think hers are the best, if you like the thick decorating kind :).

Ingredients:
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 cup sifted flour

Place butter and sugar in large bowl, mix until light in color. Add eggs and vanilla and beat to combine. Gradually add flour, salt, and baking powder and beat until mixture pulls away from the side of the bowl. Cover and refrigerate the dough for at least a hour. Once your dough had set in the fridge and you're ready to use it pre-heat your oven to 350. Flour your surface and roll out your dough. Cut with your favorite cookie cutters. Place cookies of sprayed baking pan and cook for 10 minutes. Then let the cookies cool on a wire rack. Once cooled decorate with frosting. Enjoy! :)
